Lifeline Alerts/Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

By using Lifeline Alerts ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Service Description

Lifeline Alerts provides AI-powered safety monitoring through phone heartbeats, wearable sensors, and optional home presence sensors. When unusual patterns are detected, we notify your designated emergency contacts via SMS.

Important Limitations

Lifeline Alerts is not a substitute for calling 911 or professional emergency services. While our system includes 24/7 professional monitoring by trained emergency agents who can coordinate with local emergency services, there may be delays due to sensor connectivity, network issues, or false positives. Always call 911 directly in a life-threatening emergency.

Plans & Pricing

  • Shield (Free): On-demand protection sessions. $5 fee only if we respond to an emergency.
  • Guardian ($10/mo): 24/7 passive monitoring, AI-guided setup, pet care profiles, legal document generation. First month free.
  • Guardian+ ($8/mo billed annually): Everything in Guardian plus Life Sensor compatibility. Sensor hardware sold separately ($49.99).

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Monthly plans cancel at end of the current billing period. Annual plans provide a prorated refund for unused months. The Shield tier is always free to use.

Emergency Monitoring Services

Third-Party Provider. Emergency monitoring and emergency response coordination ("Monitoring Services") are provided by a qualified third-party professional monitoring center. By using these features, you acknowledge that emergency response coordination is performed by trained emergency agents operating independently of Lifeline Alerts LLC.

Service Limitations. You acknowledge that the Monitoring Services rely on your device's data connection, GPS accuracy, and sensor connectivity. We do not guarantee that:

  • (a) Monitoring agents will receive every alert triggered by the Service.
  • (b) Emergency responders will be dispatched in every situation.
  • (c) Responders will arrive in a timely manner or at all.
  • (d) Alerts will be transmitted during network outages, device malfunctions, or low-battery conditions.

No Guarantee of Safety. The Service is a tool designed to assist in emergency situations. It does not guarantee your physical safety, a specific response time, or any particular outcome. Safety depends on many factors beyond our control.

False Alarms. You are solely responsible for any fines, fees, or penalties imposed by any governmental authority resulting from false alarms triggered by your use of the Service.

Geographic Limitations. Monitoring Services and emergency response coordination are currently available only within the United States. The Service may not function correctly outside of areas with cellular or WiFi coverage.

Personal Responsibility. The Service is not a replacement for dialing 911 directly. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, you should always attempt to contact emergency services via traditional means first.

Liability

Lifeline Alerts provides safety monitoring on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for delays, connectivity failures, missed alerts due to device malfunction, GPS inaccuracies, actions or inactions of emergency services, or any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the preceding 12 months.

Data & Privacy

Your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described therein.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
