Terms of Service
Last updated: February 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lifeline Alerts, a safety monitoring service operated by Lifeline Alerts LLC ("Company", "we", "us").
Service Description
Lifeline Alerts is a safety monitoring service that uses phone, wearable, and sensor data to detect potential emergencies and notify designated contacts via SMS. The service includes:
- Device heartbeat monitoring (battery, motion, location).
- Automated anomaly detection (missed check-ins, extended inactivity).
- SMS alert cascade to the subscriber and emergency contacts.
- Dashboard access via TV, phone, and web.
Not an Emergency Service
Lifeline Alerts is NOT a substitute for 911 or emergency medical services. We do not contact emergency services on your behalf. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Our service provides informational alerts to your designated contacts — it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency response.
SMS Terms
- By subscribing, you consent to receive recurring automated SMS safety alerts.
- Message frequency varies based on detected events (typically 0–5 messages per day).
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
- Reply STOP to cancel SMS at any time. Reply HELP for support.
- Compatible carriers include major US carriers. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Subscription and Billing
- Service is billed at $5.00/month or $55.00/year (with included sensor).
- You may cancel at any time. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after 30 days.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice.
User Responsibilities
- Keep your devices charged and connected for effective monitoring.
- Maintain accurate emergency contact information.
- Respond to safety check-in messages when able.
- Inform your emergency contacts that they may receive alert messages from Lifeline Alerts.
Limitations of Liability
Lifeline Alerts is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for:
- Failure to detect an emergency due to device malfunction, network outage, or sensor failure.
- Delayed or undelivered SMS messages due to carrier issues.
- False alerts caused by device behavior (e.g., phone left at home while away).
- Actions taken or not taken by emergency contacts based on our alerts.
Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
